Sunflower

Drawn from these most iconic summer flowers.

The farm my workshop is in has an educational field near the craft centre where they grow a few crops that children can relate to food production. For many years they have been growing a strip of sunflowers, often a different variety each year.  I usually draw this pattern from life and add a few pollinators. During a class, the kids are given flowers as sunflower heads are like catnip for Highland cattle, they will run the length of a field to have a snack.
