Directions
The glass workshop is in the Hirsel Homestead Centre for Art and Craft.
Situated just off the A697 we are approximately 1 ½ hours north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 1 hour south of Edinburgh.
The entrance to the estate is sign posted on the A697 at the west end of Coldstream.
Drive through the golf course for about 1 mile and when you see the lake on your left the car park for the Craft Centre is on the right. We are in the main square where there is also the museum, childrens’ play area and toilets.
The main line east Coast trains run to Berwick (and beyond) and The Waverley Line runs from Edinburgh to Galashiels, there are buses from Berwick to Galashiels hourly during the week.
There are international airports in Newcastle and Edinburgh.
As yet there are no space ports locally, sorry. But there is a field next the workshop you could land a small space ship in.
