The dog rose is a beautiful little flower, whether it has self-seeded against a wall, as mine has, or grown amongst a hedgerow to see these little jewels of colour and catch a breath of their scent is a wonderful gift. It feels such a fleeting guest I always take the time to stop and enjoy a dogrose when I come across it.
